Mentoring provides children with a positive adult role model who has dedicated a part of their lives to make an impact. Through mentors, children are exposed to various academic and social skills that help them to grow into productive members of their own communities. Children exposed to a mentor at an early age have shown reduced risk in drug and alcohol use, violent behavior, gang activities, and school absences. Past studies have also shown that children in a mentoring relationship have higher academic performance, thus reducing the risk of dropout.

To be eligible, children must be currently between the ages of 6-13, they must be from a single-parent family, and they must express a desire for a mentor.

Children who qualify for our Mentoring Children of Prisoners program can be enrolled between the ages of 4 and 16.

If you are interested in enrolling your child in this program, or would like more information about any of our services, please follow the link below to complete our online application form.
